The quilting year is quickly waning as the (hoped for) warmer weather and sunshine pulls us out into our gardens or away from home.
Our last formal meeting of the 2022-2023 year takes place next Wednesday. Highlights are a visit from Diana Fox-Revett who will be joining us for some of our sew day. Her evening presentation will focus on natural dyeing and slow stitching. Here is a link to her interview with Karen Brown of Just Get It Done Quilts
We will also be conducting our elections for the 2023-2024 guild year. I hope you have considered how you might be able to support your guild – we are actively in need of a new Secretary and a Programs/Education lead (I will help and support in both these roles, but this isn’t meant to be a one-woman show.) None of the jobs are too onerous, but many hands make light work and other platitudes.
Please join us for our sew day beginning at 9:00am in the meeting room at the Sandman – we will hopefully be taking Diana out for supper between 4:45 and 6 and we’d love to have you join us (location TBA). Our business meeting begins at 6:30 and we will whip through our business and the election so that we can enjoy Diana’s quilts and talk properly.
