To my mind, one of the most important elements of belonging to our guild is the ability to support our community through our community quilts projects. We are blessed to have many angels in our guild who prepare kits, maintain the guild storage locker, sew quilts for donation and generally keep us contributing to support those in need of a nice warm hug. The role of Community Quilt volunteer has been ably managed by many people over the years and I would like to thank them all for their support and service. This year’s volunteers are Diane Kresak, Karan Riches and Susan Ritchie. At the November sew day we all came together to make blocks for some new community quilts – it was a lovely day and here are some photos to remind us of the joy of working together for a common purpose.
