Though the Squamish weather isn’t yet truly fall-like, we are now officially in the waning of the year. The nights are cooler and the glorious sunny days are as precious as they are numbered. Our gardens are mostly done for the season and our thoughts turn to more indoor pursuits.
We have lots of wonderful plans for this Guild year – many thanks to Karan (Programs) and Anne and Dianne (Community Quilts) for their work making sure that our hands will be busy. Mary from the Whistler Quilt Guild reached out late last spring and we have set a date for a joint Guild potluck lunch and show and tell in November. It is always a treat to see the beautiful work of others (within our guild and beyond) as it both inspires and teaches us. I hope you will participate in the Mystery Block of the Month (fabric requirements and information are included in the September 7th minutes) and that you will join us at as many meetings as you are able. If you are not a guild member we welcome you – membership is $50 for the year and you can find more information here. Our next sew day and business meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 5th at the Sandman Inn in Squamish.
