Our Guild’s online home!
The Squamish Quilters Guild will endeavour to provide an environment that will foster, nurture, develop and promote the art of quilting among its members and throughout the community.
The Guild shall aim to create an atmosphere that promotes the concept of learning, laughing, caring and sharing.
NEXT MEETING: The membership is currently planning to resume live meetings on Wed, Sept 1st, 2021 at the Sandman Hotel. Hope to see you there!
What we do
We meet monthly on the first Wednesday of each month, except July and August, at the Sandman Hotel in the Industrial Park, Squamish. The day starts at 9:00 AM with members bringing their own projects to work on, or helping to put Community Quilts together. The evening meetings begin at 6:45 PM, and are a venue for educational programs, sharing quilting experiences, and speakers, with a short meeting. Member participation in Show & Share of quilting projects is a great way to see projects members have completed or are working on.
Note: During the sew day, members will bring lunch with tea and coffee being provided. After a day of sewing and socializing, members will often join together at a local restaurant for dinner before the evening meeting.
New members are always welcome, from the beginner to the experienced quilter. Come to a meeting as a visitor and see what we are all about.
Membership in the Guild brings many privileges, including educational opportunities, a continuous stream of inspiration, and a community of fellow quilters. Read more and Join SQG!
